ATTENTION
* It's time for you camp physicals! Whether your
going to the coast, the mountains or the plains, participating in
High adventure or just hiking, a BSA physical is required.
Dr. Diane McGinnis has been able to negotiate a
flat fee at AirportMD specifically for scouting physicals of $30 per
person. I know this is not free, however they will be maintaining
permanent records, and you may choose to use the facility for other
medical care. Now that the form is required yearly it is important
to establish a regular place to get your physicals. Please print out
a copy of the attached physical form to bring with you.
The clinic is located in McCarran Airport just
next to the A/B security checkpoint on the second floor (looking at
the checkpoint there is a Wells Fargo Bank, and the medical clinic
is just to the left of the Bank) just above USAirways ticket
counter. You will need to park in the short term parking and feed
the meter. Appointments are available, but an emergent walk-in
patient would be given priority. The clinic is open 7am-7p seven
days a week, which means if someone shows up to go on a scheduled
event and their physical is EXPIRED they can run to the airport and
get it renewed the same day!
The clinic is staffed with either a physician
assistant or a nurse practitioner (including myself)! The other
providers are Paul Maiocco, PA (Physician Assistant), Kerry
Palakanis, NP (nurse practitioner) and GraceAnn Freeman, NP (nurse
practitioner).

Attention Parents * Crew dues and re-charter money is now due. Please make payments to Kathy Conner at the Crew meetings or contact Kathy Conner at 378-9209 to make arrangements. * Physicals and Health forms need to be updated and current for 2010, please review the date on your scouts existing physical to make sure it's still valid. If it has expired please obtain a new Health form and obtain a physical from your physician. For our new crew members please download a Health form and provide it to your physician. You may also obtain a new form from Paul Wilson, paulwilson@crew95.com
* Crew members are required to bring your books and your folders to every meeting, this is a must. UVC coming back in 2011 We have received several requests to hold another UVC from crews throughout the council. We asked the youth members who attended the VLSC Course on what they thought about the prospect of holding the UVC, and they unanimously voted in favor of the idea. As a result, it was decided that we would hold a UVC in 2011. Stay tuned for further information.
